EA don’t half like to keep us waiting for the things we love.
What I’m talking about, if you haven’t gathered from the title, is the possible release of the Sims 3 Seasons.
Rejoice, or something a little less dramatic, because things are looking good for the plethora of simmers who have been hoping for a Seasons expansion pack – A recently leaked survey, released on VG Market by EA themselves, puts across questions regarding a possible release of The Sims 3: Seasons. It seems to list a bunch of both classic and exciting possible features from new weather such as fog, to holiday events and the return of aliens! Check out the list below (some of these potential features I’m most excited about are highlighted in green):-
Celebrate the change of Seasons! For the first time ever in The Sims, experience dramatic changing of the seasons throughout your entire open neighbourhood. Bundle up with the new Outer Wear clothing category in Create A Sim and head outside to encounter striking new weather effects, celebrate holidays, and attend exciting seasonal celebrations. Play with life like never before as your sims react to the beautiful and ever changing power of nature!
Weather – Weather changes with each season, making the Sims’ world behave and feel different as the seasons cycle. Rain, snow, hail, fog and summer heat!
Festivals – Big public celebrations complete with decorations, activities and costumes. Each season will come with a new festival!
(Possible types of Festivals Include:
- Summer Festivals: Celebrate the Summer Festival with fireworks, face painting booths, hot dog eating contests, the Summer food stand and all new Summer decorations
- Winter Festivals: Celebrate the Winter Festival with snowball arenas, ice skating rinks, the Winter food stand and all new Winter decorations
- Fall Festivals: Celebrate the Fall Festival with pie eating contests, bobbing for apples, the Fall food stand and all new Fall decorations
- Spring Festivals: Celebrate the Spring Festival with kissing booths, egg hunts, the Spring food stand and all new Spring decorations)
Temperature – Beware of sunburns, frostbite, and unsightly tan lines!
Caroling – Entertain your neighbours with classic holiday carols
Diving Boards & Pool Slides – add more functionality to your pools
Slow Dancing – A new type of dance that’s extremely romantic
Blueprint Building – assists you in creating or editing lots by allowing you to easily place down pre-made and fully furnished rooms on your lot!
Aliens – Strange but mentally powerful sims from another world with mind powers and special wants and needs!
Anthropology Career – Team up with Scientists at the local Science Facilities to research UFOs and paranormal sightings in your neighbourhood.
Meteorologist Career – Ascend through the ranks at the City Hall Meteorology Centre to become a star TV Meteorologist!
Family Holiday Greeting Cards – Each season, players can have holiday pictures taken of their sim family. These pictures can then be sent to the player’s real life friends through TheSims3.com.
Sledding – Shred some fresh winter snow with this exciting outdoor activity.
Swimming in the ocean – For the first time ever, your sims are now free to swim in and explore the oceans of their worlds!
Online Dating – Create your Sim’s online dating profile and muster up the courage to head out on some blind dates.
Kite Flying – have fun with the wind and see how high your Sims can fly their kites!
New Party Types – Enjoy Costume Parties, holiday parties, feasts, gift-giving parties and pool parties!
Do remember, this is still a rumour at this stage – so do remember that this information is yet to be confirmed.
